CFCC is the peak community not-for-profit organisation working with and for the 1638 people with CF across Victoria and New South Wales. Its mission is to assist everyone affected by CF to be well and live fuller lives and to promote broader awareness of CF and how it affects our community.

Cystic fibrosis is the most common, inherited, life threatening condition affecting young Australians. 1 in 25 people in Australia carry the recessive cystic fibrosis gene – that is over one million Australians. CF primarily affects the lungs and pancreas by clogging them with thick, sticky mucus. Daily treatments, numerous medications, physiotherapy and frequent hospitalisations are required to manage this condition. However, despite major advances in treatment, there is currently no cure. The average life expectancy for someone born with cystic fibrosis today is just 37 years, with lung failure being the major cause of death for someone diagnosed with CF.

CFCC provides information, support and guidance to people living with CF and their families. It advocates for services and systems that support the CF community and seeks to raise awareness, understanding and funds for services and research. MDTA or CRA (Child Recovery Agency) are an organisation that train operations staff in Australia and run intelligence/surveillance operations along with child rescue and reconnaissance operations internationally. Operations include rescuing children from human and sex trafficking groups along with training and equipping the local forces in other countries with skills and resources to combat the human trafficking themselves.

Due to their need for operational digression MDTA struggle with attaining funding. Clearly their work is sensitive in nature and posting live videos or information on social outlets damages their ability to achieve their goals. Understanding this we will share what we can about MDTA safely overtime and share stories of successes and struggles for you to read.
